An exciting company outing for over 120 employees of the stela team is behind us.
On Friday, July 12, we set off at 7 a.m. in the direction of Rohrdorf to visit the cement plant there.
The Rohrdorfer Group is a leading company in the building materials industry and operates several cement, concrete and gravel plants in Austria and Germany.
The Rohrdorf cement plant produces a wide range of cement products that are used in the construction industry for various applications. These include concrete cement, screed cement, masonry cement and specialty cements. These products are essential for the construction of buildings, roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
In addition to cement production, the Rohrdorf cement plant attaches great importance to sustainability and environmental protection. The plant uses modern technologies to reduce emissions and increase energy efficiency. This includes measures such as the use of alternative fuels and the utilization of waste heat.
Why exactly did we visit the cement plant in Rohrdorf?
A stela BTL 1/3000-20 belt dryer has been in operation there since 2021.
This is used to dry the RDF substitute fuel, which in turn is used to generate heat for clinker production.
Divided into several small groups, we were given a guided tour of the entire site and learned everything there is to know about how cement is produced and what is needed to make it.
After the tour, we headed towards Lake Chiemsee and from there by boat to Fraueninsel, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Klosterwirt.
Afterwards, we had time to explore the island on our own, jump into the lake, play cards or have a nice chat and then took the bus back to Massing late in the afternoon.
It was a wonderful day that also promoted team spirit, gave us the opportunity to get to know each other better outside of work and simply have fun together!
