Due to the cruel war in Ukraine, the situation of the people in the war zones is depressing. Many of them have lost their homes and are living in difficult conditions. Particularly affected are the sick children who are dependent on medical help in hospitals.
To bring a little joy to some of these children, stela, under the direction of Iryna Laxhuber, organized a Christmas parcel campaign: pupils from Berta-Hummel-Schule and Carl-von-Closen Gymnasium Eggenfelden as well as children from St. Michael's Kindergarten and the Oberdietfurt community kindergarten, nature kindergarten and Unterdietfurt elementary school lovingly packed Christmas parcels.
A total of 313 parcels were packed by stela and sent to Ukraine. In Ukraine, the aid organization H.O.P.E. - we help children e.V. took care of the distribution of the parcels: The first stop was the Ochmatdyt children's hospital in Lviv, where St. Nicholas delivered the presents. Next, Christmas parcels were delivered to a boarding school for orphans in Naguyev and finally to a mother and child facility in Ivano-Frankivsk, which currently houses internally displaced mothers and children.
Furthermore, this year stela Laxhuber donated an additional €2,500 as a Christmas donation to the aid organization H.O.P.E. e.V.
Our thanks go to all those involved from the schools and kindergartens!
